Three years later, Douglas encouraged her to apply for an open position at KARE 11 as a weekend meteorologist. Although Jensen was initially hesitant due to her lack of experience in a big market, Douglas’s persuasion led her to audition for the role. She impressed the team with her 13-minute presentation on the historic rainfall in Minnesota, and she was offered the job on the spot.
